Hogwarts Legacy Delay for PS4 and Xbox One Once More; No Mention of Switch Delay

Are there any plans for a Switch version of Hogwarts Legacy?

The Harry Potter franchise continues to live on with the hype surrounding the upcoming Hogwarts Legacy open world RPG game. But, alas, fans on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms are left disappointed once again as developer Avalanche, publisher Warner Bros. Games, and Platform Portkey Games have delayed the highly anticipated game one more time.

When the game was announced back in September of 2020, the release date was initially set for 2021. However, due to the pandemic and delay in production, the game was eventually pushed back to 2022. And now, fans of the magical world created by J.K. Rowling have to wait a bit longer, as it has since been delayed to the 4th Quarter of 2021.

The developers also included a short message on the Hogwarts Legacy official website that reads:

“The freedom to plumb the depths of J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World has made it even more exciting—and it’s something that we want to ensure is delivered with the care it deserves. As we all adjust to the unprecedented circumstances in which we are living, we would like to thank you for your patience and understanding. We would also like to reassure all our fans and players that we are working hard to deliver the most magical experience possible.”

While fans have been left a bit disappointed by yet another delay, the developers are doing their best to make sure that the game meets the expectations of the fans.

Yet, in what has become a growing trend, the developers failed to mention any kind of delay for the Nintendo Switch version of the game. This raises doubts among die-hard Nintendo fans about whether or not the game will be released simultaneously with its console counterparts, or will it suffer yet another delay and be released separately some time later.

No matter what the speculations may be, it cannot be denied that the game is highly anticipated among fans and the latest delay gives the developers a chance to make an even more immersive game. Let’s keep our fingers crossed, so that the developers are able to deliver the magic with care, and that the wait proves to be worth it.
