It has been over two decades since the iconic video game Diablo first released, but the angst and devotion from its devoted playerbase has yet to split. To make matters even better, the much-anticipated fourth installment of the well-known flagship ARPG series from Blizzard Entertainment, Diablo IV, is slated to have its open beta launch on the 23rd of March for users to get their hands on.

Furthermore, leading up to the launch of the open beta, Blizzard has released an opening cinematic for Diablo IV – setting the scene for much excitement and anticipation among the fans regarding the upcoming game. The cinematic showcases the aftermath of a strife filled war as well as introducing a few of the main characters that players will have to adopt over the course of their playthrough including Lilith, the daughter of Mephisto and countless Demon overlords.

The open beta of Diablo IV will allow players to participate in the battles and explore the vast settings of the world. After open beta, players can look forward to full release of the game, with further details and announcements stated to be revealed in later months.

The game promises several new features, such as detailed and dynamic weather systems, high-resolution textures, and a much wider selection of NPC and baddies to defeat in the virtual world.and two new classes for players to choose from. Once the open beta launches, players will also gain access to the skill and talent system, allowing them to customize their characters’ abilities and traits for their play-through.

Diablo IV has already been confirmed to be cross-platform accessible, meaning players on PS4, Xbox One, and PC will all be able to hop into the game and join the ongoing war against evil forces.

This is very exciting news, as many have been awaiting Diablo IV’s launch since its announcement in November of 2019. With the open beta just around the corner, players can start counting days until they are finally able to explore the highly detailed and expansive world of Sanctuary.
