Them’s Fightin’ Herds DLC Character Stronghoof Announced; To be Released in Spring 2023

Fresh from the 2021 Evo Online we have big news for Them’s Fightin’ Herds fans who have been eager for new content: Alexandria Stronghoof has been announced as the first DLC character who’s slated to release during the spring of 2023.

Stronghoof is a powerful, battle hardened five-star general in the Order of the Bleeding Paw and has been sworn in to protect the magical land of Fœnum. She is the epilogue of Them’s Fightin’ Herds, having been teased in the game’s finale as the one who will keep the peace between the various clans without succumbing to the siren song of power that Luxo and the other leaders have been dancing to.

Aside from her purpose in the game’s plot, Stronghoof will also be an intense and wild character on the battlefield. She is a martial arts master that seamlessly blends both hand-to-hand and weapon combat, utilizing an extensive arsenal of weapons in her fighting style. She also is gifted with the ability to harness her aura through focus and perform astonishing physical feats.

Stronghoof was designed by two-time Emmy Award-winning animator, Rebecca Sugar. The design is mostly inspired by Sugar’s own experiences as a martial artist and fighter. It expresses the freedom of the artform and its balance between the physical and spiritual. Stronghoof shows off her elegant and complicated weapon play in her trailer, accompanied by Sugar’s distinctive musical score.

It is clear developer Mane6 is taking its time to give Stronghoof the same fantastic treatment it gave to the other characters when they were announced. Not only do they have a great voice actor, musically composed theme, and detailed character backstory, they have collaborated with Rebecca Sugar to ensure the character design meets her creative standards.
