New reports have emerged that Apple are working on a completely reimagined touchscreen MacBook Pro, which is expected to be commercially available by the year 2025.

The new laptop is said to be entirely touchscreen, with no physical keyboard or trackpad. Apple are believed to be attempting to create a cutting edge laptop, that has a working concept of one device integrating the capabilities of many.

It is likely that the new laptop would replace the traditional MacBook PRO as a default choice in many households.

According to a report, the touchscreen MacBook will feature a 12-inch OLED touch panel, with a resolution of up to 4K at 60fps. The exterior is believed to be made of the same aluminum alloy material found in other Apple products, with a black finish.

It is also rumored that the laptop will be powered by an ARM processor architecture, which would perform faster than the existing x86 processor architecture. The RAM capacity of the laptop is also believed to be around 32GB, and the storage to be an SSD with up to 4TB capacity.

As for design, the laptop’s edges are expected to be curved, giving it a sleek and streamlined appearance, and there will likely be a USB-C charging port, as well as a headphone jack and a card reader.

In terms of security, the laptop will feature Apple’s TouchID and FaceID biometric authentication, as well as various other security measures, including the use of an encryption chip.

The laptop is also believed to be capable of running both Mac and iOS apps. The integration of the iOS will allow iOS users to access Mac apps, which should make the laptop appealing to both MacBook and iOS users.

Apple are known for their vision of the future, and this new laptop is an attempt to revolutionise the laptop market by introducing an entirely new form factor. With the launch expected to take place in 2025, we will have to wait and see if Apple’s vision makes reality.
