One of the more exciting virtual reality (VR) events of the year, the Resolution Games Showcase 2022, recently came to an end. The event saw some of the more exciting upcoming VR titles and innovations being announced, and now it’s time to take a look back at what was an impressive showcase of the future of VR gaming.

First up was Ready Player Two, the highly anticipated sequel to the acclaimed Ready Player One. The sequel will be developed by Swedish studio Resolution Games and promises to be an exciting adventure full of puzzles, exploration and science-fiction influenced themes. It will support multiple platforms such as Oculus, PlayStation VR, and SteamVR so that players can enjoy the experience in the way that suits them best.

Other big announcements included the reveal of Tower of Guns: No Reload, a first-person shooter developed by Resolution Games and Virtuos Games. The title will give players the chance to explore a cyberspace filled with powerful bosses, hidden secrets and intense firefights. With a number of different difficulty levels, Tower of Guns shows that VR games don’t have to be simply waves of enemies to become challenging.

The final announcement of the event was arguably the biggest—the reveal of Project Echo. Developed by a collaboration of Resolution Games and Hulu, Project Echo is a co-op sci-fi game with what could be some of the best visuals seen in a VR title. It promises to put players in the shoes of a survivor from a futuristic world and tasks them with unraveling the secrets of the planet.

Overall, the Resolution Games Showcase 2022 was a success and gave VR fans a chance to see some of the more innovative titles coming down the pipeline. Whether they are interested in exploring science-fiction worlds or enjoying intense firefights, there is something for everyone to look forward to in the coming months. With these titles and several others still in development, the future of virtual reality gaming looks brighter than ever.
