Is this feature going to be available for all types of Android devices?

For many users, the Google Play Store may soon be able to offer one of the most sought-after features that has long been available to iOS users: the ability to sync apps across multiple devices.

Google recently revealed that it is working on a feature that should allow Android users to sync app purchases and updates across their physical devices. This would put Android users on a level playing field with iOS users, who have long been able to access apps on all of their devices through a single purchase.

The development of such a feature was made recently when Google announced an upcoming API called “Android Devices and Services“ (ADS). This API will be available to developers interested in adding the sync feature to their apps.

For users, this would mean that when they make an app purchase or download an app update on one device, it would automatically be available on all of their other compatible devices as well. It would also simplify the process of logging into apps, since users would only need to sign into one device for their apps to be able to run on all of their devices.

This could be a major advantage for Android users. For example, if someone wanted to continue playing a game from their phone on their tablet, they would not have to purchase a separate version to achieve this. Nor would they have to sign in again; all of their progress and any other app data would simply be updated across their devices.

It is unclear when the ADS API will be available, though it is likely that it won’t be available until at least the second half of 2021. Regardless, this new feature could potentially make life easier for Android users, who are used to having to log into all of their apps separately and make many separate purchases to access their apps on different devices. It’s certainly an exciting development and one that could prove popular among Android users.
