The latest RTX 4090 Hogwarts Legacy showcase gave us a glimpse at how ray tracing, DLSS3 and some other tweaks are making the game look mesmerizing. Ray tracing technology, used in gaming to add dynamic shading, has been available to developers since 2018 with the release of the RTX 20 series GPUs. But now, with the new RTX 4090, the processing power and capability of ray tracing has been increased exponentially, making games even more detailed and visually stunning than ever before.

The RTX 4090 Hogwarts Legacy showcase took full advantage of this new level of ray tracing capabilities by overlaying the visuals of the game with realistic lighting, shadows and reflections. On top of that, the game also uses DLSS3, a new version of the deep learning super-sampling technology, to reduce artifacts and improve the image quality. It does this by effectively upsampling games to higher resolutions and then smartly down-sampling the image back to the native resolution which results in smooth visuals and vibrant colors.

Apart from DLSS3, the RTX 4090 Hogwarts Legacy showcase also showcased a few other tweaks to improve the visuals even further. One of the most impressive tweaks was the use of screen-space ambient occlusion which allowed the game to render more realistic and detailed shadows and textures. Furthermore, the showcase also incorporated a dynamic weather system that affects how the environment reacts to sunlight, rain and wind.

All of these added enhancements, combined with the power of DLSS3 and RTX 4090, looked pretty impressive in the RTX 4090 Hogwarts Legacy showcase. The combination of ray tracing, DLSS3 and other tweaks gives the game a much more realistic and finished look. The dynamic shadows and textures, along with the improved lighting and weather effects, all look very impressive and help give the game a more immersive feel.

Overall, it was amazing to see how much potential the RTX 4090 and DLSS3 have when it comes to improving the visuals on games. The RTX 4090 Hogwarts Legacy showcase clearly demonstrated why more and more developers are taking advantage of these new technologies and it’s only a matter of time before more titles start incorporating them. It’s definitely exciting to see how these advancements will improve the overall video gaming experience in the future.
