Granblue Fantasy: Relink Gets Brand New Trailer, Gameplay, and Details

Video game fans of all stripes were more than delighted to watch the lengthy Granblue Fantasy: Relink trailer that was unveiled at Tokyo Game Show 2019. The highly anticipated action RPG, which will be released for PlayStation 4 and Windows PC, has been a long time in the making but it looks to be worth the wait. Not only does the trailer outline some of the game’s features, but it also reveals some stunning new gameplay and details as well.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink follows in the footsteps of the original Granblue Fantasy mobile game – a turn-based RPG with cartoonish characters and a warm, pastel art style. The game follows protagonist Lyria as she traverses a mysterious and dangerous world, gathering a ragtag group of adventurers along the way. Relink, however, steps up the stakes, adding a full-on action RPG flavor with fast-paced combat. This new action-oriented gameplay was showcased in the trailer, allowing us to get a better understanding of what’s to come.

The trailer begins by introducing us to the main characters and cities in the world of Relink. After some brief introductions, the trailer moves on to the game’s battle system, which allows players to control up to four characters at once. Players can switch between characters to utilize different combinations of attacks and skills to defeat enemies.

We also get a peek at Relink’s unique “Defend” system, which gives players the ability to protect and shield their party from incoming damage. Additionally, the trailer features some environmental interactivity, giving players the ability to use the terrain for strategic purposes such as to block enemy attacks or reach higher ground.

In addition to the trailer, some gameplay footage was also released. The footage shows the stunning visuals of Relink, the improved character models and the crisp art style. Players can get an up close and personal look at the game’s detailed visuals, as well as some of its combat mechanics.

We’re also treated to some character customization, which includes the ability to customize character models, armor, and weapons. As for the game’s plot, Granblue Fantasy: Relink will take players on a grand journey across the world, helping Lyria discover the secrets of the world’s past.

With Granblue Fantasy: Relink’s trailer and gameplay footage now available to watch, fans have a better idea of what to expect. While we still have some time to wait until the game is finally out, the wait looks to be well worth it.
