First World of Warcraft Dragonflight Content Update 10.0.5 Detailed; Goes Live on January 24

The first content update for World of Warcraft (WoW) since the release of the Shadowlands expansion is here. Announced earlier this week by Blizzard Entertainment, fans can look forward to a new dragonflight-themed adventure that kicks off in update 10.0.5.

The update is set to go live on January 24 and include a new questline that showcases a massive array of new content. Faction aligned players will have to enlist in a struggle between the Red and Blue dragonflights, as they battle over the ancient artifacts of small dragon-shards. The shards are incredibly powerful and a reward awaits those brave enough to take part in this epic struggle.

Players will need to join the Red or Blue dragonflight faction, choose new dragonflight-themed allies and defeat their enemies in the depths of Azeroth. In addition, players will be granted powerful artifacts that can be used to reflect the essence of their chosen dragonflight, in both form and function. The dragonflight artifacts will provide a unique look to adventurers, living up to the hype of being forged from the bones of legendary dragons from the original Warcraft games.

The content update will also introduce a range of new cosmetic rewards and rare mounts that can be earned from completing daily quests. In addition, new creature variants are set to be released, giving players another way to challenge themselves with unique and powerful foes.

Finally, those that find themselves on the winning side of the dragonflight struggle will be rewarded with a special mount that will take them soaring across the skies of Azeroth. It’s certainly an exciting addition to the game and sure to be a fan favorite.
