Nvidia, the renowned leader in graphics card technology, recently launched its RTX 4080, a ray-tracing enabled, RTX 30 Series graphics card. The pricing of the device was a huge concern for the tech-community, especially retailers and hardware partners. MSI, having the widest range of GPUs available in the market, recently expressed their disappointment regarding Nvidia’s pricing policy.

MSI were of the opinion that the RTX 4080 was grossly overpriced, noting that overpricing disrupts the PC gaming industry and discourages budget conscious gamers and PC enthusiasts. According to MSI, they recommend the RTX 4070 Ti, a capable mid-range GPU, as the perfect alternative to gamers who wish to enjoy the improved ray-tracing and performance of Nvidia’s latest architecture.

The RTX 4070 Ti comes from Nvidia’s RTX 30 series, and is not as powerful as the RTX 4080, but is enough to provide smooth gaming experience and the improved technology for much less. MSI also noted that the GeForce RTX GPUs are more than capable of running the latest games with RTX on, as well as ray-tracing enabled games from the current and previous generations.

MSI also emphasized the affordability of the RTX 4070 Ti, making it a great entry point for gamers interested in ray-tracing enabled gaming. MSI had initially expected the RTX 4080 to come with a more reasonable price tag, due to its mid-range specs compared to its high-end siblings like the RTX 3090 and RTX 3080.

Overall, MSI is not too happy with Nvidia’s decision to price the RTX 4080 too high, and they recommend its mid-range GPU, the RTX 4070 Ti as the perfect solution for budget conscious gamers. According to MSI, the RTX 4070 Ti provides good performance and value for money, compared to the flagship RTX 4080.
