Apex Legends Spellbound Event Brings Back Control, Private Matches Now Available for All

Apex Legends fans, rejoice! The Spellbound event is finally here – bringing heaps of content and new features in one go. Players can now dive into two new game modes: the long-awaited Control mode and the new and improved Recon Mode, as well as reap the rewards of the in-game challenges. But the best part of the Spellbound event is that it brought the much-anticipated Private Match feature for Apex Legends.

The Spellbound event comes right on time after the System Override collection event in March, filling up the game with a treasure trove of new content and new features. After introducing the new Control mode, as well as an updated version of Recon mode, the Spellbound event offers all players the opportunity to have their own private matches with little effort.

Players can now create their own private lobby, setting the stage for the game without having to worry about the randomness of the public queue. The good news is that now anybody can play private matches, as long as they have access to an Origin account. All you have to do is select the “Host a Custom Game” option from the main menu and the private games should now be accessible. You will be able to create a lobby for up to 16 players and even customize the various parameters available in the game.

It is no secret that private matches have been long awaited by Apex Legends fans, and with the Spellbound event, the wait is finally over. Anyone owning an Origin Account can enjoy some of the best features ever imagined, such as longer duration matches, team comps and much more.
