The Verdict Is In: Elon Musk’s Online Poll Overwhelmingly Urges Him To Quit as Twitter’s CEO

In an unprecedented move, tech mogul Elon Musk recently posed a question to his millions of Twitter followers – should he quit as CEO of Twitter?

The response was remarkable. Nearly half a million people responded to the online poll with 79% voting ‘yes’ he should quit as CEO and 21% choosing to remain in the lead role. Despite poll results, Musk said he’ll continue to run the Twitter account and take questions from users.

Whether the poll was meant in jest or was actually a cry for help from the CEO is still unknown. The poll has generated a massive amount of attention and people have been rapidly discussing Musk’s tweet.

One of the most popular responses to the poll was from Twitter user Chris Wutzke who said “I don’t think Elon should be the CEO ofTwitter, but he should definitely be doing something more important with his talents.”

The poll was posted just a few days after Musk’s fallout with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, who fined the Tesla CEO $20 million and made efforts to prevent another possible lawsuit. Many believe the results may be indicative of Musk’s disillusionment with his current situation.

The overwhelming poll results may have shown that now more than ever, the tech world needs more thoughtful and responsible leadership. Whether Musk is the right person to take the helm remains to be seen.
