Apple M-series
Apple has been actively eyeing an iMac Pro workstation, according to a recent report. This workstation is said to be equipped with an M-series chip, however there is no word on when the product will launch.

The iMac Pro has been long due for an upgrade, with the current model still utilizing an Intel Core i9 processor from 2017. It has become the last of Apple’s Mac lineup to not get an upgrade, with the latest Macs all having the M1 chip. The M-series chip is said to be a variant of the M1 that has an 18-core processor, which would make it suitable for more intensive, professional tasks.

The M-series chip would also bring with it distinct advantages such as better battery life, improved thermal performance, and more power overall. This would likely result in the pricier iMac Pro being more powerful than the cheaper Mac Pros, which are equipped with a significantly lesser amount of cores.

The iMac Pro was originally released back in 2017 and was Apple’s most powerful all-in-one machine at the time. It is no wonder that Apple is looking to upgrade this powerful machine with its latest processor, as it is sure to be a hit.

However, Apple has yet to give any word on when the improved iMac Pro will be available and what the price would be. Until such time, users will have to make do with the current model.

It is expected that this new iMac Pro will carry a steep price, and will no doubt be the most powerful machine from Apple once it is launched. Rumors of the possible launch date have already been circulating, with many expecting it to come later this year.

With the M-series chip, the new iMac Pro would certainly be a great addition to the Mac lineup. It would make for an ideal powerhouse for users in the creative, media, and professional industries. Though there is no official word as of now, Apple is widely expected to launch the upgraded version of its workstation soon.
